I have 2 of these, always having a full one to use on the stainless steel countertop dispenser. This works so well. When I empty one, there is a full one to put on top. Each 3 gallon bottle lasts us 2-3 days, so I have time to fill up the next one to be ready. If I need 8 quarts of water for pasta or soup, I always have plenty. This is a rigid plastic, the same as the blue plastic bottles you buy from water sellers like in Home Depot.
