The old unit got dropped in the sink and cracked the base. I ordered a replacement and did ad hoc glue and tape temporary fix on the broken one. About two years later my temporary fix broke and I decided to swap with the new base. Turns out that the new base uses a different electrical connector than the old. The old one was squarish and snapped in the base. I now see that I need the new Strix (TM) connector. Sadly the shipping is more expensive than the part… So this is something you need to know before ordering if you are repairing and older model 9000 unit.
